This week we bring you our first look at the most luxurious Ram 1500 ever - the 2025 Ram 1500 Tungsten! I had the opportunity to check it out at the Texas Auto Writers Association's 2024 Texas Truck Rodeo in Decatur, Texas in September.

The Tungsten, shown here in Bright White Clear-Coat paint, is the new pinnacle of the 1500 lineup. From its once-piece front fascia, chrome grille and 22-inch aluminum wheels, to its its premium leather bucket seats, real wood accents and carbon fiber trim in the cabin, this is a luxury pickup with the detailed craftsmanship, design and premium materials to back up its luxury status.

Comfort abounds. How could it not with its 24-way adjustable front seats with first-ever massage functionality, along with heated and ventilated seats for both rows, and an incredible 23-speaker Klipsch Reference Premiere Audio System, the most powerful audio system to ever grace a Ram pickup. Wow does it sound incredible! Tungsten also features a huge 14.5-inch multimedia screen, a 12-inch digital driver display and there's even a passenger display in here.

Ram Light Duty Pickups Brand Manager Brant Combs shows me some of the Tungsten highlights, including the standard power tailgate and rear bumper step.

The 3.0-liter Hurricane H/O SST engine in the new Tungsten really is outstanding. In fact, as tested in the Tungsten by Wards Auto, it recently earned a spot on the 2024 Wards 10 Best Engines and Propulsion System list. In the Tungsten, it delivers 540 horsepower and 521 lb.-ft. of torque and is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Acceleration is fantastic. The Tungsten is also equipped with air suspension and the smooth ride and drive is incredible, something essential in a luxury pickup.

A power tailgate is standard but you can opt for a multi-function tailgate. The Tungsten features the lineup's RamBox® Cargo-Management System and a Tonneau Cover, along with a spray-In Bedliner by Mopar.
